Battle of Iwo Jima
Thesis statement
In the battle of Iwo Jima, one of the most violent battles in the Pacific campaign during World War II. This battle was fought between the United States and Japan, and start in February 1945 and in March 1945, causing over 48,000 casualties of war. The main goal of this battle for the United States was to provide a tactical advantage against Japan. The seizure of this island would give the United States the advantage into victory.   Japanese reasoning would be very different, they had a legacy to withhold over 5000 years of Japan's existence, no foreign army has ever successfully trod on Japanese soil which lead to hard endurance to fight the Japanese.

Battle of Iwo Jima
14 February to 16 March 1945 on of the most prolific battles of World War II would take place. Battle of Iwo Jima would be done as part of the Pacific campaign of World War II. This battle was only expected to be a short conflict to secure control of the strategically located island, but it would end up as one of the deadliest battles of the war for both sides.   The United States would almost solve 7000 soldiers and another with the Japanese suffering almost three times that of a staggering loss of over 20,000.
