1. Each and every company have their own strategy, policies, culture and organisation. Size of a company may vary but they have their own working environment, structure, technology and people. Every time, it is not sure that the company will lead to success or goes towards failure. The activity of the company or the ratio of profit and loss of the company fluctuates because of the rules and regulations, employees’ expectation, competition, market condition, etc. So to achieve our goal we cannot simply stick into the previous style of management or the same daily activities.   In this case, we need ‘change’.
Change is another way of adjusting company’s strategy, its culture, structure and the technology. There are lots of reasons for change in the company. There can be an external or internal reasons for change. External reasons can be:
* Market condition
* Technology
* Government rules
* Economics
Besides, internal reasons are:
* Technology and equipment
* Employee behaviour
* Strategy
* Workforce
These changes can be adjusted in structure, i.e. design of jobs , authority, in technology, i.e. work methods and in peoples’ behaviour, expectations and attitudes.
I am an owner of small cleaning business which operates under the rules and regulations of NSW government, Australia. There are total five numbers of employees working under my company. As it is a small company and owned by me, I am the manger and supervisor for all of my five employees. I am running my company since past three years. Everything   was well operated. But then I have notice various factors are affecting my company because of the competitions of the other cleaning company in the market which are using latest machines and introducing new trainings to create experience cleaners.   As a result , most of my customers have reduced hours for my contract. Due to this, my employees and myself have been directly affected. Besides, as most of my employees are an overseas...

Report on Child Beauty Pageants

AllFreeEssays.com - Free Essays, Term Papers and Research Papers Free Essays For All Students

Children bring joy and youth to those that watch them. Child beauty pageants are meant to bring out those qualities in children and hopefully promote positive thinking for the rest of their life. Though there are positive aspects to this idea, some feel that beauty pageants destroy a child’s view on what is considered true beauty.

Children can have such fantastic ideas, but their minds can be easily influenced. It is no wonder why so many girls are involved in pageants enjoying a few days a year as a princess. Keeping in mind children can’t enter pageant without their parents’ permission. Ultimately it is the parent’s choice rather than the child’s. There have been newspapers that emphasize this point. It is called the phenomenon “princess by proxy,” explaining that the real attraction of pageants is for parents who can gain social status, self-esteem, and money when their children participate.

Pageants are focused focus primarily on appearance, attire, and perceived “cuteness.” Only some pageants have talent competition and often are a secondary component. Beauty pageants is that it teaches young children that there is value in focusing on their appearance. This can lead to significant body-image distortions, and adults who once participated in child beauty pageants may experience low self-esteem and poor body image.

A positive aspect is that being involved in beauty pageant is a way for girls to meet and interact with other girls. These girls are likely to compete with each other if their parents take them to the same local competitions. Another positive aspect is that beauty pageants can give girls a lesson in competition. Through the contest, girls can learn that if they want to achieve something, they will have to work for it. Pageants take dedication and discipline. They will have to understand the importance of winning and losing graciously.

Child beauty pageants give children time with their parents. From dress shopping to choosing make up colours to...

Antacid Report

Aim
To measure how much antacid is needed to neutralise some hydrochloric acid.
Hypothesis
It takes around 1.5-2.5 grams of Antacid to neutralise 50mL of Hydrochloric Acid.
Materials
Dilute Hydrochloric Acid (HCI) 0.1M
Small Flask (250mL)
50mL measuring cylinder
Methyl Orange indicator
Spatula/Spoon
Plastic petri dish
Scale
White piece of paper
Antacid powder
Method
Get approximately 10-15 grams of antacid and put it in the petri dish and write down your measurements. Also get a measuring cylinder and put in 50mL of diluted hydrochloric acid.
After measuring out the Diluted hydrochloric acid in the cylinder, pour it out into the flask and add 3-5 drops of methyl orange. Also add a piece of paper under the flask to prevent Diluted Hydrochloric acid to go on the table.
Use the Spatula/Spoon and put a tiny amount of antacid to the acid and give the flask a gentle stir. Keep doing this process until the liquid colour red changes to orange.
Re weigh petri dish and record your results

Results
(M1)   Mass of petri dish + Antacid 13.3g
(M2)   Mass of dish+ Unused antacid 11.5g
(M1-M2)   Mass of antacid used 1.8g

Discussion
1.8 grams of antacid was required to neutralise 50mL of diluted hydrochloric acid.
Group 1 Group 2
(M1)   Mass of petri dish + Antacid 13.3g 14.6g
(M2)   Mass of dish+ Unused antacid 11.5g 13.4
(M1-M2)   Mass of antacid used 1.8g 1.2g

These measurements were accurate because both groups started off with different amounts of antacid and both of them had the same answer. This also depends on how much antacid is in use in the first place and how much diluted hydrochloric acid is presented during the practical.
If our stomach contained 1 L of Diluted Hydrochloric acid it would take 36g of antacid to neutralise. It took 1.8 grams to neutralise 50mL and 50mL go into a 1 L 20 times so the equation to working out the amount of antacid required to neutralise the diluted hydrochloric acid is:
1.8×20=36...
