How often do people realize what the beauty of our campus inhibits? How many actually take a moment to realize that much of the necessary work is carried out at dawn to keep it that way?
Long before lectures start, we have about 100 cleanup personnel, technicians and ground keepers at work. To ensure that all debris is removed, lecture halls and offices are clean and the heating is on. Every once in a while, you might see a cleaning ladies working in a Hall. Do you ever few seconds out of your busy schedule just greet her and wish her a good morning? You can be sure that her started early!
Have you ever thrown away something that does not land in the trash but right next to it? And neglected to? A cigarette bud that fall at the ashbin?
We need 1.5 FTE reasons to keep in our daily activities to clean up what comes in the bins. Every morning, the campus is clean again. Two rounds during the day are necessary to keep it that way.
Women and men of the services as housekeeping, grounds keeping and building the management strives to make your campus a better and sustainable place to study and work. Often in the twilight, before dawn and behind the scene. Give them a heads up if you see them! They really do brilliant work.

Just take a moment and recognize what beauty you can study and work here and what the labor needed to keep it that way. 99% is fine. Most of us do not notice. When something fails, they are always motivated to maker it to 100%. . It's okay and often necessary to make someone aware of a failure. Wouldn't it be nice to complement them well to keep our campus that is as beautiful as it is?
