While hunting a Fox that caused their truck to swerve and crash, three men makes an astonishing find Minnesota wintry Woods. Dimwitted Jacob, his warlike friend Lou and Jacob's younger brother and reluctant partner-in-crime Hank discover a crashed aircraft covered by snow. Inside is the dead pilot and four million dollars in cash. Hank would like to draw the attention of the authorities, the other wants to keep it. Hank gives on one condition: that he keep the money until the plane is discovered in the spring thaw. If no one is going after the money, three will split the cash.

Despite swearing to secrecy, other waste Hank all to his wife Sarah. Hank reads her and return some of the money to the planet to avert suspicion. On the duty of hunting, Jacob panics and hits a farmer by the name of Dwight as hunting a Fox. Hank prepares to dispose of the body but Dwight regains consciousness. Hank chokes Dwight and stages – such as a snowmobile accident despite Jacob's protests.

Unemployed Lou threatens telling the Sheriff the truth about Hank kill Dwight unless he gets his share of the money now. Sarah tells Hank to ram Lou for Dwights death. Jacob reluctantly agrees to deceive her friend and get Lou to fake a confession to Dwight murders. Hank reveals he secretly recorded Lous confession. Lou threatens to kill Hank, so Jacob shoots Lou dead. Hank kills Lous wife Nancy makes it look like Lou did it.

The Sheriff, Carl, Hanks and Jacob's story. He has more important things on his mind, which helps visiting FBI agent Baxter. After Jacob turned silly when he heard the sound of an airplane engine sputtering, asks Carl Jacob and Hank to help him and Baxter and look for the missing plane. Sarah tells Hank Baxter is not really an FBI agent, he is one of two criminal brothers who kidnapped and ransomed a heiress. The other brother piloted the doomed planet. Yet Hank goes searching for the plane. Carl discovers the downed plane but is shot dead by ...
