4) The meeting 

“Overseas business trip again?” he repeated sarcastically before blowing his top, “Just how much money do you have to earned before you can finally settle down and accompany your family?!” That was it, he couldn't take it anymore. Why must his father always go overseas for business trip? Thomas stormed to his room as he swept all the books on his study table to the floor. Since he was the only son, his parents spoiled him which result him being spoilt and incredibly rude.
The people that he offended for the past decade of his life were countless but nobody ever dared to confront him because of his family background. Out of boredom, Thomas decided to go out and take a walk. He was cursing his father under his breath while walking aimlessly around the street. He did not look where he was going, not until when he bumped into someone. Thomas looked up, annoyed, to found a bald kid with girly features. He only realized that the kid was actually a girl when she apologized for bumping into him.

“Why are you staring at me?” The girl asked uncomfortably. It was then Thomas realized that he had been staring at the girl for quite some time. “Is it because I'm bald? Well, isn't it normal for people who had contracted terminal cancer?” The girl break off the awkward silence which left Thomas flabbergasted. She seems to be only 10 years old, how could she be contracted with terminal disease? Thomas couldn’t help but asked the girl, “Why? How could it be?”

The girl smiled kindly. “The reason is not important anymore, isn’t it? At least, I’m still breathing at this very second.” The girl optimism made Thomas admired her deep inside his heart. They stood there, striking random conversation about life. In less than ten minutes, Thomas learnt life lessons that nobody had ever taught him, it actually made him guilty for a moment. He was guilty was wasting his decade of life doing nothing when someone out there is trying their best to survive for another day...
